The book presents archaeological, historical, cultural and natural landmarks from Pazardzhik area. As evidenced in the book, some of the earliest civilization models in Europe have originated here, as well as some of the first specialized manufacturing. The book also reminds that the earliest and most important in all epochs communication artery has run through this region for millennia and that it is quite logical for it to acquire again its prime importance for the continent… Curious, and at the same time indicative fact, is that scores of European diplomats, scholars and poets that have passed through these lands during the last couple of centuries praise both Bulgarians and the local nature foreboding a glamorous European future… The book also includes information kindly granted by the municipality of Pazardzhik pertaining to the city’s economic development during the latest years, the cultural institutions and their activities, as well as investment opportunities there.
