The town of Kazanlak is located in the Rose Valley of Bulgaria. The fragrant oil-bearing rose is grown in its surroundings and high-quality Bulgarian rose oil is produced. Introduced in the IV century BC. in the lands of the Thracians, the oil-bearing rose finds here suitable conditions for development and is permanently associated with the livelihood of the people. At the end of May beginning of June, when the fields are covered with delicate pink and white flowers, a Rose Festival is held in Kazanlak, for which tourists from all over the world arrive.
